Vikings News · Guards & Winds in 1st Place at MEPA Kettering – 3/11

The Miamisburg Color Guards & Winds programs demonstrated once again that they are at the top of the list in the area at MEPA Kettering this past weekend, with three entries bringing home three top placements.

The Sweethearts started things off early in the morning by winning the Elementary Color Guard class with a score of 87.45. The A Guard placed 1st out of 9 in the Scholastic Regional A class and earned a 75.18. Finally, the Winds closed the competitive portion of the show earning 1st place as the sole entry in the Winds Scholastic Open class and earning a 74.35.

Next up, you’ll find the Winds program hosting the WGI Winds Dayton Regional right here in Miamisburg. Winds performs in the prelims round at 11:01am, and again in the finals round at 6:31pm. More information, including scheduling and ticket information can be found here:

The Sweethearts and A Guard will travel next to the Hamilton MEPA show. Sweethearts performs at 1:32pm. The A Guard takes the floor at 4:00pm. More information about the Hamilton show can be found here:

The World Guard can next be found the following weekend at the WGI Mid-East Power Regional on Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24th. Miamisburg will perform Raising the Barre in the preliminary round at 4:05pm on Saturday, and will perform again on Sunday anywhere between 2:20-3:40, depending on their placement.
