The Miamisburg indoor performing arts had a fantastic weekend at two MEPA shows held on Saturday at the Nutter Center and Sunday at Centerville HS.
Saturday, March 2nd – MEPA Nutter Center
Both the Miamisburg Sweethearts and the A Guard traveled the MEPA Nutter Center show on Saturday. The Sweethearts captured 1st place in the Elementary Color Guard class with a score of 85.42, almost 6 points higher than their nearest competitor.
The A Guard, a group of elementary and middle-school students competing with high-schoolers, placed 4th in the Scholastic AA class with a score of 67.65.

Sunday, March 3rd – MEPA Centerville
All 4 Miamisburg indoor performing arts ensembles traveled to MEPA Centerville on Sunday, and all 4 walked away with championships.
The Sweethearts continued their busy weekend, once again placing 1st in the Elementary Color Guard class and improving on Saturday’s score with a 88.68. This placed them almost 10 points higher than the next group in the ranking.
The A Guard placed 1st in the Scholastic AA class, having improved their score almost 2 points from Saturday to a 69.35.
The World Guard placed 1st as the sole entry in the highest possible class for school groups, Scholastic World, with a score of 83.3. The World Guard continues to be comparable to the top scoring guards in the country.
Finally, Miamisburg Winds placed 1st as the sole entry in the Winds Scholastic Open class with a score of 80.0. Winds continues to put up record numbers for this point in the season. Compared to this same show last year, Winds scored 7 points higher.
