Vikings News · 3 Championships for Miamisburg at MEPA Kettering – 3/10

All four Miamisburg indoor performing arts groups traveled to MEPA: Kettering on Sunday, 3/10, where they earned championships and excellent placements.

First up, Miamisburg Winds placed 1st with their eclipse-themed program, Cosmic Dance, as the sole entry in the Winds Scholastic Open Class, with a score of 81.75.

Next up, Winds will travel to Highland Heights, KY on 3/23 to compete in the Mid-East Percussion & Winds Power Regional. More information about that show is on the WGI page found here:

The Miamisburg Sweethearts remain undefeated in the Elementary Color Guard class, placing 1st in their class and earning a score of 89.69.

You’ll find the Sweethearts next at Miamisburg Friends & Family Night in the MHS Gym on 3/29. Stay tuned to for more information about Friends & Family night in the coming weeks.

The Miamisburg A Guard, consisting of middle-school students and 1 HS freshman competing in a HS class, placed 3rd in the Scholastic AA class and earning a score of  70.160. Only 0.7 separated the top 3 places.

Next up for the A Guard is the Mid-East Power Regional, held in the Cincinnati area on 3/23. More information about this event is available at the WGI page, found here:

Finally, the Miamisburg World Guard placed 1st in the highest possible class for school groups, Scholastic World, with a score of 86.6.
