As the #13 seed in Division I, Region 2, the Vikings traveled to #4 Olentangy Liberty to take on the Braves from the Ohio Capital Conference in the first round of the OHSAA state playoffs.
After receiving the opening kickoff, the Vikings were able to move the ball with a couple early first downs, but were forced to punt. Liberty mounted a scoring drive capped by the first of two Aidan Kinley touchdown runs.
The Vikings were unable to muster much offense throughout the night. The Liberty offense continued its scoring with three Mitch Fields touchdown passes, 40 yards to Dom Magistrale, 12 yards to Matt Hale, and 13 yards to Camden Barcus.
Liberty moves on to play Fairmont in the second round. The Vikings return to regular season action by hosting Lebanon in a non-conference game at Holland Field, next Friday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
