Dylan Wudke collected four hits in four at bats, as Miamisburg defeated Middletown 17-3 on Saturday. Wudke singled in the second, singled in the fifth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.
The Vikings got on the board in the second inning when Grant Harris singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
The Middies evened things up at three in the bottom of the third inning. Underhill drove in one when he singled.
Miamisburg pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning with Connor Dye’s sac fly and Joey Yerkins doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Miamisburg put up eight runs in the seventh inning. Yerkins, Ethan Schultz, Logan Ritter, Harris, and Grant Smith all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Cam Bryant took the win for Miamisburg Vikings Varsity. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out five and walking one. Aaron Sundermann started the game for Vikings and allowed just three hits and three runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one.
Miamisburg tallied 14 hits on the day. Wudke, Jordan Boxer, Harris, and Will Cook each racked up multiple hits for for the boys in blue. Wudke led the Vikings with four hits in four at bats.
